Triumph Status....

I don't want make the family blog into my personal motorcycle blog, BUT...... I dropped the fresh motor in the frame this weekend. A little more welding, some wiring, plumb the fuel and oil lines, and this thing will be ready to ride!!!!

Chopperfest in Ventura

Jeremy and I spent last weekend up in Ventura attending the Dave Mann Memorial Chopperfest. We're doing a lot of these custom bike shows lately. It's a lot of fun having a "guy's" weekend...

Thanksgiving tradition

For the 3rd year we spent the Howe Thanksgiving up in Mammoth Lakes! No snow this year but we enjoyed the beautiful Eastern Sierra scenery and ate a wonderful turky day dinner at The Restaurant at Convict lake! And since the weather was so warm Tioga Pass was open and we spent one day in Yosemite!

Fire update!

Four years ago the Cedar Fire took out our back yard.....But this time we made it untouched! Everything is ok...a little smokey, but ok!

A mid-life crisis!

Ok Ok when some men go through their mid-life crisis they chase after young women, well I collect old motorcycles! A MUCH healthier pursuit! Here's my 1965 Triumph Trophy. The motor is being rebuilt and restored by Four Aces in LA. I've done the rest. A few of the cooler tidbits: the headlight is from a 1918 Cadillac (rebuit by me), tail light is 1930's Harley Davidson, fuel tank is a classic GME chopper tank(painted by me), handlebars are 70's era BMW, the rear wheel is a 16" Harley wheel laced to a Triumph hub, and the seat was custom made for this bike! Very cool!

A mid-life crisis too!

I thought it was men who had these! Well Denise decided that if you work 80 hours a week, maybe you should spend a little cash and get something you've always dreamed of. What has Denise always dreamed of??? A new T-bird of course!

Vacation Time....Aloha Style!

In August we took the kids to Hawaii for coupla weeks! We stayed in Kona. What a beautiful place to spend some time! We went snorkling, visited Volcano National Park, and a ate a LOT of fresh fish!!!
